Georgetown will be a tough challenge...
They have 2 All-Big East players. Taylor Gebhardt is their top player. They also had 3 other players make the All-Big East second team. Georgetown's RPI is #17 compared to our #15, so the NCAA gave us as equal opponent as they could. At least we host them in Blacksburg.
As far as head-to-head competition, Tech and G'town only played 2 common opponents. G'town beat Delaware 12-8 at home and beat Denver on the road 8-7. Denver beat them in the Big East tournament 12-7. Tech beat Denver on the road 11-5 and beat Delaware 17-10 at home. I think that Tech has a slight edge even if the game were played on a neutral site.
